Robbi Crockett G'99

I am a CODA, Child of Deaf Adults. I lost my mom to cancer in 2005 but my father lives strong in Seattle. I have one hearing sister, an attorney at law living in New Mexico. I received my Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and worked in Radio and Television for 6 years before attending Gallaudet University for graduate work in 1997-1999.  I received two masters; one in Mental Health Counseling and another in Administration. I began my internship at Seattle Mental Health. My three month stay in 1999 turned into owning ASL Interpreter Network (ASLIN- www.aslnetwork.com) since 2001 and making the Northwest my home.

I've served as a WAGUAA Vice President for 3 terms now and thrilled to be able to serve again with the "new" officers. I look forward to keeping WAGUAA going strong!

My most memorable Gally moment was the DPN 10th Anniversary in 1998. it was called; "Deaf People Now" when I was involved as the President of the GSA (Graduate Student Association) I was thankful for the graduate students' support while we marched to Capitol Hill!
My favorite quotation is:
